Synthetic fiber is a chemical fiber made of polymer synthesized from organic monomers and other chemical materials. Among them, polyester and nylon accounted for more than 85% of the total production of chemical fiber, widely used in clothing, decorative materials and industrial fabrics and other fields.

Polypropylene longitudinally smooth and straight, the cross section is round and other shapes, polypropylene has waxy feel and luster, dyeing is difficult, generally for the stock solution dyeing. Polypropylene is a kind of fiber developed later in the synthetic fiber, its relative density is smaller in the commonly used textile fiber, lighter than water, is the cotton fiber 3/5, divided into filament and short fiber two. Polypropylene has good strength, elasticity and wear resistance. The fabric is not easy to wrinkle, so it is durable and the garment size is stable. Filament is commonly used to make silk - like fabrics and knitted fabrics; Staple fibers are mostly of cotton type, used in carpets or nonwovens. Polypropylene moisture absorption is poor, easy to electrostatic and pilling during use. The fine polypropylene fiber has strong core absorption and water vapor can be removed by capillary in the fiber. After being made into clothing, the clothing is more comfortable, especially the ultra-fine polypropylene fiber, which can transfer sweat faster due to the increase of surface area, and keep the skin comfortable.

Because the polypropylene staple fiber is not moisture absorbent and the shrinkage rate is small, the polypropylene fabric has the characteristics of easy washing and quick drying. Polypropylene heat resistance is poor, 100℃ above the beginning of shrinkage, in washing, dry cleaning temperature can not be too high, otherwise it will cause shrinkage, deformation, and even melting. Ironing temperature is 90-100℃, need a layer of wet cloth or steam ironing. Polypropylene has excellent resistance to chemicals, moth and mold, but poor light resistance and weather resistance. Can be spun or blended into a variety of textiles, mainly used for the production of sweaters, sweatshirts, socks, competition clothes, underwear, can also be used as flockin and outdoor carpet.
