Polypropylene staple fiber is made of high quality polypropylene raw material after high temperature melting by spinneret and external annular transverse blowing system composed of spinneret system spinning into silk, and then by falling bucket, drafting, crimping, cutting and other processes.

At present, pp staple fiber is mainly used in papermaking (paper fiber), nonwoven and construction (engineering fiber) industry. Today xiaobian on the use of polypropylene staple fiber in paper industry.

Polyester and polypropylene staple fiber abroad are widely used as raw materials for papermaking. The annual demand for staple fiber is about 500T. However, Chinese domestic users mainly use ultra-short fiber as the raw material of paper such as filtration, packaging, insulation, anti-counterfeiting and antibacterial, and the annual demand is about 600T.

Paper is divided into dry paper and wet paper.

First, the application of polypropylene in the field of dry papermaking is mainly the production of expanded soft paper. Expanded soft paper, also known as dust-free paper, is a new disposable sanitary material, which can be made into high-density dust-free paper absorption core material, used to meet the special needs of sanitary materials with high absorption capacity and excellent liquid holding effect, and also can be made into low-density absorption core material, used for medical materials.

Second, in the field of wet paper, polypropylene staple fiber is mainly used for mixed with plant fiber paper, in order to improve the quality of paper, improve the wet strength of paper, by changing the elastic modulus of paper, make its have certain elasticity, improve wear resistance, mainly used in such as filter paper, tea bag paper bag for wet strength to demand higher specialty paper production.

In addition, pp staple fiber can also be used for paper recycling and regeneration. Generally, pulp can be reused 5 to 6 times, but the paper's fastness and tear strength will decrease with the increase of reuse. The addition of ultra-short synthetic fiber can not only solve the problem of declining fastness and strength in the process of pulp reuse, but also improve the drying speed and unit production capacity of paper, thus reducing the production cost.
