Recently, the High-Quality Development Seminar on the Integration of Domestic and Foreign Trade of Jiangsu Textile and Garment Enterprises and the fourth expanded meeting of the first term of the Chamber of Commerce were held in Nanjing.
The conference was jointly hosted by the Textile and Garment Chamber of Commerce of Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and Jiangsu Textile Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Jiangsu Textile Inspection Institute"). It attracted representatives of leading enterprises in Jiangsu's textile and garment industry, industry experts and relevant department heads to gather together to jointly explore practical paths for the integration of domestic and foreign trade in the industry.
Zhang Tong, the director of Jiangsu Textile Inspection Institute, said that against the backdrop of profound adjustments in the global trade pattern, the textile and garment industry is facing challenges such as the upgrading of green barriers and the iteration of consumer demands. Jiangsu Textile Inspection Institute will deepen cooperation with chambers of commerce and enterprises in areas such as sharing testing technologies, collaborative innovation in standards, and talent cultivation, to build a development pattern of "resource sharing, complementary advantages, and mutual benefit and win-win".
Gao Xiaodong, the president of the Textile and Garment Chamber of Commerce of the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, said that the textile and garment industry in Jiangsu is mainly composed of private enterprises. The entire industry should deeply understand the spirit of the "Private Economy Promotion Law", promote the compliant operation of enterprises with a legal mindset, and adhere to the original intention of the real economy in technological innovation, brand building and market expansion.
Based on the actual development of the industry, he put forward three development suggestions: First, reshape the industry's discourse power with a standard system to lay a new foundation for a quality-strong province; Second, expand the development space through the dual circulation ecosystem and build a new global collaborative matrix. Third, activate the core of the industry through innovation-driven development and open up new tracks for transformation and upgrading. He stated that the chamber of commerce will take service as its foundation, actively build platforms for enterprises to showcase, exchange and cooperate, assist member enterprises in building brands, improving quality and increasing benefits, and promote the high-quality development of the integration of domestic and foreign trade in Jiangsu's textile and garment industry.
Sun Ximin, deputy director of the Science and Technology Development Department of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, conducted an in-depth analysis of the trends in textile and apparel standards, elaborately interpreting the current status of textile and apparel standards work, the reform situation, and the challenges faced in transitioning from exports to domestic sales, providing valuable industry insights for the participating enterprises.
