[How to realize green development of textile industry?]

Now, how can Chinese textile industry realize low carbon transformation? How can we achieve green development? On November 11, at the high-end Forum of International Engineering Science and Technology Strategy for Green Development of China's textile industry, experts and academicians gave answers from different perspectives.


Yu Jiyong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Donghua University, said the textile industry needs to tackle key technologies and industrialized production in the future from three aspects: green raw material innovation, green processing technology and textile recycling technology. We will accelerate the innovation of green raw materials such as cellulose fiber, protein bionic silk and polylactic acid fiber with new solvents, and continue to promote green processing technologies such as natural dye printing and dyeing, low-temperature catalytic pretreatment of cotton fabrics, non-aqueous dyeing and high-value recycling technology of waste textiles, so as to further promote the green transformation and upgrading of the textile industry.


"The green development of synthetic fiber in the future can promote the low-carbon development of the industry by using biomass resources to produce bio-based textile fiber materials, recycling waste textile fiber materials and designing and synthesizing fiber forming polymers that can be chemically recycled." Wang Yuzhong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Sichuan University, analyzed the green and low-carbon development path of textile fiber materials in detail.


According to Gao Xiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and dean of the School of Energy Engineering of Zhejiang University, the technologies and paths for reducing pollution and carbon in the textile industry include low-carbon energy supply, process optimization and terminal treatment, as well as the utilization of future renewable energy, energy storage and hydrogen energy, as well as supporting clean and low-carbon energy utilization and process reengineering. "In the future, we need to give full play to the advantages of coal power and renewable energy, take into account the characteristics of electricity/heat/chemical energy conversion and storage, and build a stable supply system of low-carbon energy with multi-energy flow coupling."
