On October 29, the Beijing Textile Industry Intellectual Property Alliance was formally established. Relevant responsible comrades such as the Operational System Construction Department of the Intellectual Property Application Promotion Department of the State Intellectual Property Office, the Intellectual Property Application Promotion Office of the Municipal Intellectual Property Office, and the Chaoyang District Market Supervision Bureau (Intellectual Property Office) attended the inaugural meeting of the Alliance and delivered speeches.

The conference read out the decision to establish an intellectual property alliance in the textile industry and held an unveiling ceremony for the alliance.

The relevant person in charge of the Operation System Construction Department of the Intellectual Property Application Promotion Department of the State Intellectual Property Office stated that the Industrial Intellectual Property Alliance is an important starting point for promoting the synergy of intellectual property rights and promoting the development of the industry. To strengthen the construction of industrial intellectual property rights, we must focus on strengthening the role of interest ties, giving full play to the professional expertise of service organizations, and actively exploring effective operational models.

Gu Weida, chairman of the Beijing Textile Industry Intellectual Property Alliance and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Fashion Holdings Co., Ltd., said that the establishment of the textile industry intellectual property alliance is an important exploration and support for the textile industry to rely on the realization of intellectual property transformation. In the next step, the alliance will further improve the working mechanism framework, optimize internal construction, serve the individual needs of alliance members, and promote the coordinated protection and application of intellectual property rights.

Under the guidance of the State Intellectual Property Office and the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office, the Beijing Textile Industry Intellectual Property Alliance was initiated by more than 30 intellectual property enterprises and universities in Beijing and other places. Each member unit has nearly 700 authorized patents, and participates in the formulation of more than 10 international standards and more than 200 national standards. In the next step, the Municipal Intellectual Property Office will further support the textile industry intellectual property alliance to carry out patent navigation, layout, standardization and operation related work for the common needs and major projects of the industry, and provide effective support for the high-quality development of the city's textile industry.

More than 40 representatives from the Municipal Science and Technology Association, the Chaoyang District Science and Technology Association, the Beijing Textile Engineering Society and other responsible comrades and members of the textile industry intellectual property alliance attended the meeting.
