What should polypropylene staple fiber pay attention to in carding engineering?

Polypropylene staple fibercarding refers to the process principle of "low speed, fast transfer". The hydrophobic and hygroscopic properties of polypropylene staple fiber are close to zero, and the static electricity phenomenon cannot be solved by the moisture recovery of raw materials. Therefore, it is very important to control the temperature and humidity in the workshop. The temperature in the workshop is controlled at about 18 ℃, and the relative humidity is 62% or more. And because of the low thermoplasticity of polypropylene short fiber, it is easy to friction each other in the production process to produce static electricity, so that the fibers intertwine each other to form nodes, especially in the doffer, cylinder often hard block sticky between the needle teeth, resulting in fiber carding, poor transfer, cotton knot increase.

In the process, we use widened dust removal knife width, flat knife, 85° process, appropriate relaxation of cylinder and cover distance, reduce cover speed, reduce fiber friction; Pay attention to control machine temperature, prevent machine temperature is too high to produce fiber melting. At the same time, maintenance personnel are required to clean the silk and hard blocks on cylinder and doffer with steel wire brush and hook knife every day. In order to ensure production, management should be strengthened in operation, driving time should be reasonable, tour should be strengthened, attention should be paid to the broken edge of cotton net, and the weight of cotton sliver should be guaranteed.
