On January 8, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a symposium to promote industrial green and low-carbon development, fully implement the spirit of the Party's 20 congresses, implement the deployment of the Central Economic Work Conference and the National New Industrialization Promotion Conference, and study and deploy the comprehensive promotion of industrial green and low-carbon development in accordance with the requirements of the National Industry and information Work Conference. The meeting stressed that it is necessary to steadily promote carbon emission reduction in the industrial sector, coordinate the promotion of industrial and steel, building materials, petrochemical and chemical industries, non-ferrous metals and other key industries to achieve carbon peak, vigorously develop green and low-carbon industries, promote the green upgrading of traditional industries, and accelerate the coordination of pollution reduction and carbon reduction. We will accelerate the construction of a green manufacturing and service system, deepen the implementation of green manufacturing projects, strengthen the construction of a green and low-carbon standard system, and actively create a green consumption scene. We will accelerate efforts to improve industrial energy conservation and efficiency, build a clean, efficient and low-carbon industrial energy consumption structure, deepen efforts to improve energy efficiency in key industries, and improve the management system for industrial energy conservation. Comprehensively promote the economical and efficient use of resources, accelerate the construction of a resource recycling system, and strive to improve the reduction and resource utilization level of industrial solid waste. Promote the standardized development of the comprehensive utilization of renewable resources industry, improve the comprehensive utilization system of emerging solid waste, and actively develop the remanufacturing of mechanical and electrical products. We will strengthen publicity, carry out training and exchanges in green manufacturing and other fields, and continue to deepen international cooperation in green and low-carbon fields.
