On April 21st, the 11th Cross-strait Textile Science and Technology Seminar hosted by the Cross-Strait Textile and Technology Exchange Council, Taiwan Industrial Textiles Association, Taiwan Textile Industry Research Institute, Chengdu Textile College and Southwest Textile and Apparel Vocational Education Alliance Will be held in Chengdu. Hundreds of related textile academies, research institutes and enterprises from both sides of the Taiwan Straits have conducted discussions on textile technology.

It is understood that since 2005, academic exchanges and visits have been made between Taiwan and mainland textile related institutions, research institutes, enterprises, and Taiwan's industrial textiles agreement. In 2008, the first cross-strait textile technology seminar was held in Taiwan. Later, the mainland and Taiwan alternately held seminars. It is now the eleventh year. The conference mainly focused on "textile (polymer) materials and processing workers," "textile engineering," "textile trade," "garment engineering," "intelligent manufacturing," and western apparel and culture. The purpose of the conference was to summarize exchanges in recent years. Scientific and technological achievements obtained in the field, exploring new directions for development, and promoting technological innovation in the textile field and industrialization of scientific research achievements.

According to Xia Ping, principal of Chengdu Textile College, in recent years, the school has actively developed and applied anhydrous dyeing, functional fabrics, and new chemical fiber materials, and built a high-performance chemical fiber new material pilot production line. In this seminar, Chengdu Textile College will also bring the technical sharing of several scientific research achievements such as the preparation and performance research of lanthanum tungstate/pine fiber composite films and the research of tie-dye textiles based on digital printing technology. The summer principal stated that this meeting is an opportunity for professional teachers in the school to understand their professional development, and it is also a platform for them to publish scientific research results. For students, it is a rare learning opportunity.

It is reported that this seminar was also held in Yanting County on April 22, the "Sichuan Hometown Silk Clothing (Fashion) Seminar" and held in April 23-25 at the Aba Teachers College "Southwestern ethnic apparel (clothing) Innovation Seminar meeting".
